Fitness Equipment Treadmills

Welcome back once again to Fitness Exercise Equipment. In this post I’m going to take a look at some of the exercising advantages of using fitness equipment treadmills as a part of your home gymnasium equipment set up as well as go into the advantages and disadvantages of this piece of apparatus.

First up, is why would you want to purchase a treadmill and add it to your home gymnasium equipment setup? Well, this is a question I guess you have to ask yourself and then find some honest answers for before taking the plunge and spending your money on a good quality piece of fitness exercise equipment. Some of the reasons for buying a treadmill might seem pretty obvious, but I’ll list them anyway so you can compare the reasons against.

  • Ease of use. Ok, this is a no brainer but come on, it doesn’t take too much intelligence to figure out how to use one and then get plenty of exercise using it.
  • Low maintenance. These pieces of fitness exercise equipment pretty much look after themselves meaning little in the way of maintenance for you.
  • Its kinda fun. Ok, exercise is not meant to be all serious to the point you don’t want to even go in there. A treadmill is something you can use and still talk to your exercise partner, or sister or whoever and make it enjoyable.
  • Keeping up with the Joneses! Hey, if the guy next door puts one of these in his house and you’ve been bragging about how cool your home gym is, now you gotta go get one too!

And now lets look at some of the disadvantages.

  • Space. A treadmill takes up a pretty large footprint out of your home gymnasium floorspace, so you have to first of all possess plenty of room to put one of these babies in your house in the first place.
  • Novelty value. There’s nothing worse than wanting something real bad and then when you get it, you play with it for five minutes and then it gets forgotten about and gathers dust. Will you use a treadmill every day? If you believe you will, that’s fine, but if you’re not sure…
  • Keeping up with the Joneses… yeah, sometimes it can be a disadvantage as well as an advantage. If your finances don’t run this far you could be entering into a war you cannot win! If that’s the case, get your jogging pants on and do what most people do and run around the streets!

buy fitness exercise equipmentOk, I think you get the picture there. Its all well and good installing a treadmill in your home gymnasium if you have the space, the money and the likelihood you’ll actually use the thing. But if you can see that any of those reasons are going to be a problem, you might just be better off without one. Except of course, if that big mouthed family down the road just got one delivered and its an expensive model…

Whatever your reasons for wanting to add a treadmill to your home gymnasium, this is one item of fitness exercise equipment that you will need to be sure you really need in there, because once you’ve made space for it and then spent your money, it makes a pretty big dust collector if no one is using it.
